The unbeatable outdoor area with panoramic views borders on the private garden. Here you can dine directly under the starry sky on mild summer nights. In the early and late season, our indoor area is a romantic place for a quiet evening for two or for a rustic business lunch. We don’t have a TV on in the background, but you can just watch the tomatoes grow while you eat. In addition to the birds, chickens and peacocks, the neighbors’ sheep also provide the sound in the background. A little history<\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Binicanella is a grill restaurant near Son Servera \/ Mallorca that has been known for about two decades. But the history of this house is much older, going back several centuries. The name Binicanella is of Arabic origin and means family or tribe of Canella. The first writings mentioning Binicanella date back to the 13th century. In 1229, Jacob the First of Aragon conquered Mallorca, ending more than 500 years of Arab rule. After the Christian conquest of the island, the island was divided. One part belonged to the king, the other part was divided among the nobles who helped Jacob of Aragon. So it was that the Rafal (small estate) of Binicanella was given to the king, but some time later passed into private ownership. Little was known about this farm until the early 19th century. At that time some monks bought the farm and laid out fields and the garden. They led a simple life here for over 150 years. The hermitage was then sold again in the early 1970s and since then has housed the Binicanella restaurant. On the outside of the building you can still see the remains of the old monastery very well. The garden that was laid out back then is still used today for the restaurant’s fresh vegetables. Thanks to the many guests, it has been possible to preserve this beautiful old building – thank you very much.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Binicanella ist ein seit ca. zwei Jahrzehnten bekanntes Grillrestaurant in der N\u00e4he von Son Servera \/ Mallorca. Doch die Geschichte dieses Hauses ist viel \u00e4lter und geht mehrere Jahrhunderte zur\u00fcck.Der Name Binicanella ist arabischen Ursprungs und bedeutet Familie oder Stamm von Canella. Die ersten Schriften, die Binicanella erw\u00e4hnen, stammen aus dem 13. Jahrhundert. Im Jahr 1229 eroberte Jacob der Erste von Aragon Mallorca und setze somit einer \u00fcber 500 Jahre andauernden Herrschaft der Araber ein Ende. Nach der christlichen Eroberung der Insel wurde die Insel aufgeteilt. Ein Teil stand dem K\u00f6nig zu, der andere Teil wurde unter den Adeligen, die Jacob von Aragon halfen, aufgeteilt. So kam es, da\u00df der Rafal (Landhaus mit kleinem Grundbesitz) von Binicanella dem K\u00f6nig zugesprochen wurde, einige Zeit sp\u00e4ter jedoch in Privatbesitz \u00fcberging. Bis Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts wu\u00dfte man wenig \u00fcber diesen Bauernhof. Damals erstanden einige M\u00f6nche den Bauernhof und legten Felder und den Garten an. \u00dcber 150 Jahre f\u00fchrten Sie hier ein einfaches Leben. Die Einsiedelei wurde dann Anfang der 70. Jahre wieder verkauft und beherbergt seit dieser Zeit das Restaurant Binicanella. Au\u00dfen am Geb\u00e4ude kann man noch sehr gut die \u00dcberreste des alten Klosters erkennen. Auch der damals angelegte Garten wird heute immer noch f\u00fcr die frischen Gem\u00fcse des Restaurants genutzt. My favorite restaurant in Mallorca for 15 years! Regional products and large portions at fair prices. The ox chops are huge, tender and just great! Very friendly hostess with a very hard-working team, all very nice and courteous! For children there is a bouncy castle and some animals that run around freely. There is no car traffic, quiet location, children can run around the premises. A visit to the Binicanella is a must for every Mallorca stay! Just wonderful! ????<\/p>\n\n
